A Secret Santa draw that keeps the surprise
Leave the pairings to the hat. Everyone gets one person, nobody draws themselves, and you can choose a snowy North Pole setting for the reveal.
Set up the exchange
Create a hat, choose North Pole Pick and add a description with the gift budget, exchange date and any group instructions. Select “I’ll add the possibilities”, then “People - nobody draws themselves”. Enter 2–100 distinct names and create the draw.
Let everyone open their own ticket
Share the draw link with your group. Each person selects their own name and draws once. Pairings stay private to the browser that claims the name; the organiser’s management page does not show everyone’s results. Returning in that browser brings back the same ticket.
Draw on behalf of more than one person
Enable “Allow several names in one browser” before creating the hat. A visitor can register multiple names, then open a separate ticket for each. Each name is protected from drawing itself; two names registered in the same browser can still draw each other.
Plan for these limits
There are no household or partner exclusions beyond preventing self-picks. Name selection is not identity verification, so keep the link within a trusted group. Save the management link and copy your result before clearing browser data.
